privacy policy: Text messages (SMS) — your consent and rights

SMS opt-in is voluntary. You only receive text messages from Bourbons Bistro if you have specifically agreed to receive them by checking the SMS opt-in checkbox on our website, providing written consent on a signup form at the restaurant, or otherwise giving clear and conspicuous consent. Opting in to text messages is never a condition of making a reservation, dining with us, purchasing a gift card, or anything else.

What you can expect. If you opt in, you will receive approximately 2 to 4 messages per month from Bourbons Bistro about events, weeknight specials, loyalty program updates, and similar information. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.

How to opt out. You can opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. You will receive one final confirmation message and will not receive further marketing texts. You can also reply HELP for help, and we will respond with our contact information.

How we handle your phone number. Phone numbers collected through our SMS opt-in process are used solely to send you the SMS messages you have agreed to receive. We do not share, sell, rent, or otherwise disclose mobile phone numbers, the fact of SMS consent, or SMS messaging data collected for the SMS program to any third party for their own marketing purposes. Phone numbers are stored within our Brevo account, which acts as our service provider for sending the messages, and Brevo's handling of that data is governed by Brevo's own privacy practices.

How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following limited circumstances:

With our service providers, including OpenTable (reservations), Square (payments and gift cards), Brevo (email and SMS marketing), Squarespace (website hosting), and other vendors who help us operate the restaurant. These providers are only permitted to use your information to perform services for us and are bound by confidentiality obligations.

For legal reasons, when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required to comply with applicable laws, court orders, or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Bourbons Bistro, our guests, our staff, or others.

In connection with a business transaction, if Single Barrel Enterprises, LLC is involved in a merger, sale of assets, financing, or acquisition, your information may be transferred to the successor business; the successor will be subject to the commitments in this Privacy Policy.

Your choices and rights

Email. Every marketing email from us includes an unsubscribe link. Click it at any time to stop receiving promotional emails. You may still receive transactional messages such as reservation confirmations.

SMS. Reply STOP to any text message from us to opt out of further marketing SMS. See the SMS section above for details.

Cookies. Most browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. Disabling cookies may prevent some site features from working properly.

Access and deletion. You have the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and to request that we delete it, subject to legal exceptions (for example, we may need to retain certain records for tax or accounting purposes). California, Virginia, and other state residents. If you are a resident of California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, or another state with a comprehensive consumer privacy law, you may have additional rights including the right to know what personal information we collect about you, the right to delete personal information we have collected from you, the right to correct inaccurate personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Children

Our website and services are intended for adults. Because we are a restaurant that serves alcohol, our marketing materials are intended for adults 21 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us at welovebourbon@bourbonsbistro.com and we will delete the information.

Data security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect your information. We rely on our service providers (Squarespace, OpenTable, Square, Brevo, and others) to maintain appropriate security for the information they process on our behalf. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted to or from us over the internet.

Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide you with our services, to communicate with you, to satisfy our legal and accounting obligations, and to resolve disputes. When we no longer need information, we delete it or anonymize it.

Third-party links

Our website may contain links to other websites that we do not control, such as OpenTable's reservation page, Square's gift card page, or articles about Bourbons Bistro published by other media. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective date" at the top of the policy. For significant changes, we will provide additional notice — for example, by posting a notice on our website or sending an email to subscribers. Your continued use of our website or services after a change becomes effective indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
